Chapter 16: |
Immigration Specialists
If you are a notary who holds yourself out as being an immigration
specialist or consultant, you cannot advertise in any way that you are a notary
public.
(KS75-GC8223)
Example: I have a Spanish speaking friend who is also a notary public. In her office, she has posted both the fact that she is not an attorney and cannot give legal advice as well as her fees for notarial services. If she should become an immigration specialist or consultant, she will not be able to post that she can perform notarial services. (Fact: again, don’t get angry at me; I did not make these rules either)
